This painting is inspired by a homeless man who is an artist in Atlanta, Georgia. His name is Jack. I met Jack while serving on a missions trip in Atlanta. I saw him there every night on the floor of the fellowship hall of the church. He showed me his art that he sold on the streets. He is an amazing artist who had hope among the many trials that life had dealt him. Jack created his lively and positive art sending a message of God’s hope. He has forever inspired me with his style and there will always be a piece of Jack in my art to come. The colorful and patterned sky in this work has lead to a style that I plan to use in paintings to come.
