A Love That Never Lines Up

A Love that Never Lines Up
2009
24 X 30
Mixed Media on canvas

Contrast is the key element in this piece. The canvas is divided into two sections that are totally opposite: one light and soft and the other dark and rigid. This represents two different lives there are meshed together. Along the area where they meet appears to be series of rings. These rings are actually hearts that have not lined up. The diagonal line represents the slow slide and decline of the relationship as it slips away.
